They even provide a list of where each ingredient is sourced from, which I appreciate. There were many tempting salad options on the menu that could be made vegan, but I chose to build my own with mesclun greens, caramelized onions, spicy sunflower seeds, beets, avocado, and tofu. The last two ingredients cost extra, but they really made the salad stand out. I opted for the pesto vinaigrette dressing, which was one of several vegan options clearly labeled on the menu. The beets could have been more tender and juicy, but overall the salad was excellent. My only issue was that my husband's order was incorrect - he had requested the Earth bowl with tofu instead of chicken, but it came with chicken. The staff promptly made him a new one. Additionally, I ordered frozen yogurt for my son in a cone, but they gave it to me in a cup instead. When I asked for a cone, the employee threw away the cup and gave me a new one, which seemed wasteful. Regardless, Sweet Green is a great lunch spot in the Main Line area.
The restaurant offers two vegetarian salads clearly labeled on the menu: chickpea and spicy vegetable. Both salads are delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. However, some of the staff may not be knowledgeable about vegetarian options, as one staff member incorrectly stated that the bread was not vegetarian because it contained gluten. To ensure a vegetarian meal, it is best to stick to the vegetarian salads on the menu rather than trying to customize your own dish. Despite this drawback, salad lovers will likely enjoy the vegetarian options available. As someone who is not typically a fan of salads, I found the vegetarian salads to be quite satisfying.
I genuinely enjoy this restaurant. Although the prices are a little high, I am happy to pay for the fresh, local, and organic ingredients. I have tried the sabzi salad and a daily special, both of which were delicious. I like that the dressing can be customized, along with all other components of the salad. My only wish is that there was a vegan dessert option available. The kale chips are also outstanding.
I love this type of make-your-own-salad arten from restaurants and sweet green gets bonus points for organic and local ingredients. they even have a list of which each item comes from! Many of the menu item salate sound delish and veganisable, but I decided to go with mesclun greens, caramelized wobble, spicy sunflower seeds, avocado and tofu. the last 2 cost extra, but they are what the salat work done. sat with the pesto vinaigrette, one of several vegan dressings are all clearly marked. the beet could have been tender and juicy, but the salate was really excellent. my only complaining was that my man ordered the edible shell with tofu, instead of with hawn and it came with hawn, so she made him a new one. I also flew in a cone for my son, and they gave it to me in a cup. when I repeated that I wanted a conus that the guy just seemed the first one that seemed pretty wasting, but I don't know what he could have done. No matter, it's a really good lunch place on the main line!
The restaurants have two sweet salads, which are marked clearly on the menu: kichererbsen and spicy sabsi (it can be another one I am unsafe) both salads are excellent. they also use many local and fresh ingredients, if possible. disadvantageous is that many employees did not come back in what is veg (e.g. a seller went to manager and asked if the brot was vegan, came back and said brot was not veg b/c it contains gluten.) if they care about a veg meal, I would recommend sticking to the veg seeds on menu and not their own. I wouldn't trust the salesman to know what's veg and what's not. if they are an salate, they will probably love their salate. I'm not an salate, but really like the salads that are veg.
