This is my hunting in the morning for my coffee with view of the beautiful bridge with beautiful flowers. family business they make all the feeling important and take the time to speak with them. valery makes fish and chips real style with vinegar and HP sauce! Murielle... an excellent hostess. have eaten numerous paints with close friends and everyone loves it. very French and the locals are very friendly. if they want to clean up their French pls, they go there. bed and breakfast excellent if they are a great value and not expensive at all. I recommend

We have just cycled along the route verte from argenton to au bout du pont after an accident 2 years ago. it is the same mild eccentric mom pop run country hotel restaurant offering an excellent midday menu of 4 curses for...11 euro we were the only non-local that was easy to eat but well done plentiful. the service was glazed, but they clearly tried to train a new young lady I suspect will not last long. madame was beautiful as always. turn briefly after midday if you want a really well made classic French land cooking experience for the price of a few super market sandwiches. keep them an eye for the swamps.

Starter, main course, cheese, fruit and dessert. everything was excellent. it is a cozy little restaurant with very good service. we live close and this was our fourth visit. we were never disappointed.

4 courses 11.50 Euros! All the locals were eating here & at this price why cook? Starter - herbed beetroot, main - pot roast rolled pork with vegetables, cheese & a choice of desert. Obviously a 2 man band with Philippe in the kitchen. Not exactly fast food, but this is not why you eat here. Fabulously naff decorations including an aquarium full of Smurfs [no joke] and a sleeping ceramic duck in the very clean toilet.We came in for a coffee & a cake & stayed for lunch as we were cycling past, sat down & watched life go by by for an hour.... Just marvellous.

4.5 if I had the option Rue du Major Martin is more like an alley than a street, but that just adds to the charm of this place.
