Bumbershoot Barbecue - Argyle

The location is ideal for outdoor dining. It's a nice spot to relax in a rustic setting for a laid-back evening. The ribs were cooked perfectly, and the spicy sauce was excellent. I do wish the ribs had been heated with the sauce to enhance their flavor, but I would definitely return. However, the mashed potatoes were disappointing; I was hoping for a creamy, hot texture that would pair well with the ribs.

I found the sausages and brisket to be quite delicious, while the ribs were just alright. The dish came with carrots and red onions, which looked appealing but didn’t really enhance the meal as expected. The potato salad was decent, but the apple and coleslaw were very rustic, overwhelmed by black pepper, and not dressed or salted enough. The iced tea had a strange metallic taste, raising concerns about how well the equipment is cleaned. I wanted to enjoy my experience, but with so many options in Texas, I’ll probably explore other places nearby. Seeing fewer than a dozen customers at 6 PM on a Saturday makes me think the locals may have moved on... I hope they can find ways to innovate and improve!

I made the mistake of ordering a plate along with the loaded tater tots, and I could easily have shared the tots—one serving would have been enough! I ended up taking my plate and sides home for a second meal. The BBQ was really good, and the service was quick. It wasn't too crowded when I had lunch with friends. However, it is a bit pricey! The outdoor seating lacks mist fans, though I believe they might have had them in the past. There are some decent shaded areas to sit in. It’s also located next to Gnome Cones, which is great for a nice dessert to cool you down afterward.

We love this place. The atmosphere is GREAT! Live music, great seating area, good BBQ! There's even an all natural snow cone stand Gnome Cones right in front if you want dessert. What more could you want? Oh yeah entertainment for the kids? They can dance when the music is playing (whether live or from the speaker) and they can even paint a board on the fence! Pretty cool, right?! I really love the atmosphere here. We watched live music while eating our BBQ in the outdoors (nice whenit's not too hot). We stayed long after we finished eating. Very laid back date night. Loved it because it's not the same oldthing.
