Cairndow Stagecoach Inn - Argyll Bute

We called in at lunchtime to book an early evening meal the same day. This was done with minimum fuss.

My wife, dog, and I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights. We had a room overlooking a loch with a deck, which was lovely. The room and hotel were both excellent. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Breakfast may take a bit of time, but it is worth the wait. The staff were all fantastic, and the locals were friendly and easy to talk to. Our dog was welcomed by everyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we feel completely recharged.

As long-term owners of a caravan in Lochgoilhead, we enjoy exploring the dining options in the Argyll and Bute area. Typically, we would pass by Inveraray, but on this occasion, we decided to make a detour and have lunch at the StageCoach Inn. At first glance, the hotel appeared closed due to the multiple entrances and lack of visible signage indicating that it was open. We suggest removing the chairs and cushions from the front porch. However, once inside, we discovered an affordable and extensive menu catering to all tastes. This review comes after our second visit in two weeks. The food, hospitality, and service were excellent, as depicted in the images from our visit on August 19th. While the hotel may be older and slightly worn, the charm and value offered by establishments like the StageCoach Inn are becoming increasingly rare as new, modern venues emerge with higher price tags. If you are seeking a delicious meal at a reasonable price in a picturesque setting, look no further than this cozy gem. Thank you, StageCoach Inn, for a wonderful experience. No need to venture to Inverarary - this place has it all.

Called in for a meal and we're blown away by the fantastic food superb staff and glorious location. Just a short detour off the A83 as you travel towards Inverary. Worthy of a detour which would have been the original road in the dim and distant past. Right on the shore of Loch Fyne. Intend to stop over next time. We found the food prices very realistic.. Can't fault it.

I dined at this restaurant one evening while on a business trip and found it to be subpar. I would recommend trying Inveraray Co op instead.
