The food was delicious with a wide variety of options, although there could be more choices for vegetarians. The service was good and we enjoyed the music selection. However, we were informed that the restaurant was busy and had limited booking times available. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not full during our two-hour visit, with only eighteen people present over three hours.
My favourite music was playing as I drank my favourite ale and had a superb meal in my favourite place. The Brulo Sabro Galaxy no alcohol beer is the most delicious no alcohol beer we have ever tried and The Trail Finder on draught is the most perfect ale imaginable. The food was absolutely superb and the service was relaxed and friendly. I've going to Rafters since 1987 and the food has never been so good. The team are doing a brilliant job and I can't wait to back. Perfect.
Fantastic restaurant and bar with amazing hosts Bobby and Kirsteen. Dinner was amazing lots of choices all delicious and friendly priced. Best to book a reservation. Lunch is also fabulous. The bar is great with a nice selection of whiskies and beers and they do different special themed dinner nights every Tuesday. Wether you just come and visit Castle Sween or you’re staying at the holiday camp, this is a must go to!!!
Well worth a visit, Rafters offers relaxed dining with a varied menu to suit most tastes and budgets. I had scallops with haggis crumb starter followed by fresh mackeral fillet in Korean style sauce, on tosted sourdough topped with poached egg and avocado. Both courses delicious. My wife loved the more conventional home made steak pie. Also open for lunch and afternoon tea, coffee, drinks etc.
