Just checked out of room 1021. In town to celebrate Gen. McConville’s retirement with Gen. Milley and West Point classmates. Sadly, the room is not kept and, additionally and more importantly, the tack strip between the carpet and flooring between the bed and bathroom, pricked my feet more times than I can count , as the pins are facing up and are piercing through the carpet! After night one, I woke to a brown substance that was on the blanket, right at my face. It did NOT come from us. The main blanket was definitely not clean….disgustingly disturbed at this! The fixtures in the bathroom are rusted, and there was a blow dryer box that has seen better days. Our view was of a building getting demolished (I don’t care about this, but am mentioning it, as we were not forewarned). The parking is $47.00…yes, $47.00 per night. I’m far from cheap, but $47.00? Really? Hyatt…check out the carpet tack strip in 1021, so no one else will get pins pricking their feet like I did! Yes…this was mentioned to the front desk at a crazy busy checkout…The front desk should have immediately done something, but she was busy and asked if we wanted to “talk to someone.” That was certainly something SHE should have taken care of immediately without question….even though it wouldn’t have helped my already, greatly pricked, hurting feet. Not. Acceptable.
We reserved a room for a week long stay due to a family member having a medical procedure up the road at Medstar Georgetown. My wife felt comfortable and well taken care of by all of the staff; from the front desk, to the Starbucks, and especially the people working at Awbrey and Sons Lounge. We can’t say enough good things about our experience! We highly recommend this hotel and all of the establishments within.
The hotel and room were average and habitable. The construction and drilling that was going on next door were almost intolerable for those staying on a lower floor. There is no room service offered at this property!
Stayed here for 12 nights, and I just loved the location of the hotel and the services staff that help to keep the entire clean. One slight issue was dust found on some corner of the room (esp table). I guess this was due to the air-conditional that need services.Overall nice decent hotel that one can find in USA.
