I had the overcooked pasta with dry chicken, Alfredo sauce and jalapeños. Tasted like bacon grease. Don't recommend.
Atmosphere is good if you like dark. I guess that's why they call it Candelite Inn. Chips and salsa were very good (be careful not to get full on just that , but the chicken in my grilled chicken tacos was dry and had an unusual flavor (maybe usual for them? but still not bad. The amount/quantity of chicken in the grilled chicken tacos and spicy chicken tacos was very good. I wish the tacos came with some sour cream. I didn't think about it until I was almost done eating it or I probably would have asked for some. Service was very good. Overall 3.5 stars and rounding up to 4, so decent (not bad, not great .
The food is great and the service is friendly and efficient with great ambience. It's not fine dining, and that is okay because it doesn't claim to be. Candlelite Inn is a place where you can bring a large group, especially one that can't decide on what it wants...because they have everything. Plus, you can get good food at a reasonable price, especially a good steak, and it won't make the piggy bank squeal too loud.
Awww thus place is great! Went today and had the CFS special. Oh so good. We will return. Such a charming old place.
