This restaurant offers a unique twist on BBQ compared to some of the more traditional places in the area. It has a cozy atmosphere and plenty of parking. The service was friendly and attentive. We started with the tuna tartare, which was fresh and flavorful. The menu offers a variety of meats and sides, so we opted for the brisket, kimchi dirty rice, and grits. The brisket was tasty, though not as good as Monk's. The kimchi dirty rice had a good flavor without being too spicy. The grits were the standout dish for me- the best I've had in this part of the country in a long while. Overall, it was an excellent meal!

I started my meal with the apple donuts, which were soft, fluffy, and bursting with cinnamon and apple goodness. They came with a raspberry jam that was so addictive, I had to stop myself from licking the plate. These donuts were worth every calorie, and I would gladly eat them again. Next, I ordered the fried chicken biscuit sandwich, which was a masterpiece of crispy, juicy, and tender chicken, sandwiched between two buttery biscuits. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and the biscuits were light and flaky. The chicken comes smothered, and just the right amount of honey, which added some sweet to the crunch of the dish. This was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had, and I've had a lot. To wash it all down, I had the iced coffee, which was smooth, strong, and refreshing. It was the perfect drink to balance out the richness of the food, and it kept me energized for the rest of the day. The only thing that could have made my experience better was if they had more coffee options, such as lattes or cappuccinos. I'm a coffee lover, and I like to try different kinds of brews. Also, they could have done something about the fly problem. There were quite a few flies buzzing around the restaurant, which was a bit annoying and unsanitary. But overall, Ruthies All Day was a fantastic place to eat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and good service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, and they made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and relaxed, and they played some great music. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the quality was superb. Ruthies All Day is a gem in Arlington VA, and I can't wait to go back there soon. It's one of those places that makes you happy to be alive..

The food at this restaurant is exceptional and the atmosphere is wonderful. We tried a variety of dishes and each one surpassed the last. I highly recommend this place. The service was excellent. We dined in for brunch and the price per person was between $20-30. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a rating of 5. I recommend trying the Brisket Hash and Apple Donuts.
