Service was good, though there was only one waitress but luckily there weren't many people so I would recommend going on a less busy hour or day. The food was pretty good like the tempura sushi and the sirloin steak as well as the raw salmon and miso soup. The only few items I didn't enjoy as much was the eel egg omelet we ordered but besides that it was decent.
Great food and service. Try to get there around 5 so you don’t have to wait too long to get seated. I was very impressed the amount of food we get with the price. Also an amazing experience to see the chef making sushi around you.
The pictures say at all. Best sushi I’ve had in the area. 100% will come back.
I will wager that this is the best Japanese restaurant in the Boston area. I hate saying this because they will become extremely busy but I cannot keep this to myself. They specialize in Japanese dishes beyond the ordinary sushi, curry, ramen, etc. (nothing wrong with those), but you get to expand your tastes and options in fantastic ways. Don’t hesitate to get any sushi dish but you cannot go wrong in the a la carte dinner menu! What an adventure Toraya is!
This is the most beautifully fresh sushi I’ve ever had in greater Boston, and I’ve lived here for fifteen years. The service and wait time can be somewhat lengthy, but the quality of the food given a single chef preparing everything and minimal floor staff is stunning.
