Uncle Julio's Arlington

As a long time fan of the Uncle Julio 's chain, I was disappointed with several things this evening. We sat at the bar since it was a busy Saturday night. The service was brisk and efficient, mostly. The order wasn 't 100% correct, and I was served a drink in a glass that had a crack, but the thing that really irritated me was that I had the feeling that, since we were bar eaters , we were given lack-luster food. What I mean by that is that when the beef fajitas came out, even though the server said, Careful, the plate is very hot... , it was obvious that it wasn 't. I touched a piece of the steak at it was cold. Not hot. Not even really warm. It appeared as if it had been sitting out for a bit, and they tried to pass it off as fresh . (For those who have eaten at UJ 's before, you know the fajita iron plates come out sizzling and steaming. It 's kind of a thing . THIS plate was no where near like that. Anyway... had this been my first experience, I wouldn 't go back. But I have had amazing times and food at other locations, so I 'll just mark this as a bad day .

We were a group of about 20. The wait staff was excellent at handling the group! And to top it off, the food was great.

Happy hour here is always amazing and food is always hot and fresh

I hope this reaches the general manager of the restaurant. Instead of reporting to cooperate, I prefer to make a complaint here and allow the general manager to address it first. Dined in today, Wednesday night. Throughout my years in customer service, I have never witnessed a server using such inappropriate language and behavior in front of customers. Although I am a regular customer, this was my first encounter with this particular server. I asked another server for her name and was informed that her name was Angela and that she was new. It was appalling to see her touching her coworkers and then handling our food. Additionally, there were several times where she went to the back and returned with a scent of smoke and an unpleasant odor lingering around her. Regrettably, unless better servers are hired, I do not think I will be returning.

Food was okay, service…just alright. She was training a new girl but probably shouldn’t have been because she needed more experience herself. Drinks were average…chocolate piñata was cool but average.
