For $13 we got two small pancakes cut in half and displayed as 4 half pancakes with some berries. It was not even enough for my six-year-old. That was very disappointing. That dish portion size did not match any of the other dishes we got! It's important to know we did not do the bottomless brunch we each ordered ala carte.
Oz looked exciting and offered exotic meats on the menu from camel to emu to kangaroo but fell short on preparation and service. The alligator sausage and venison sliders were wonderful, the kangaroo slider less so. Chorizo hash was lackluster, burrata salad, Caesar salad and calamari appetizers were all mediocre at best. Desserts (ice cream sandwich and a banana pudding were confusing and sloppy in their presentation. Service staff were friendly but didn’t know the difference between Pinot Noir (which was ordered and Pinot Gris (which was delivered to the table twice! . Hostess also seated us while she was on the phone. Can’t recommend it when there are so many clearer options in the vicinity.
Fun stop for Friday evening people watching and then walk around Clarendon
My friends and I have always loved Oz for brunch. But this time was not our best experience. We came for the 2hr unlimited brunch. Our reservation was at 2:30 we didn’t get seated till 3 and we were told the kitchen was closed at 4. We were given our last drinks at 4:15 because they had a private event coming in at 5. Was definitely not our best time there and disappointed in the lack of consideration for our time and money.
Can’t say I was pleased with the food. Seemed very mediocre for a 35 dollar bottomless deal. Some of the plates were brought to us cold and bland. The avocado toast was lackluster as best. I guess the good food is not on the brunch deal because I can do a better job in my kitchen. Our server however was very kind and accommodating. The Orange juice and the champagne was decent. There are better options for brunch in Arlington.
