I pointed out the discrepancy with the waitress and was told the chef has freedom to show creativity. The roll was made with what was stated on the menu (3 basic ingredients of rice, shrimp, and crab meat) and no further offer to replace or change the roll was made. I ate the roll as is but wish the owner(s) would stress consistency when preparing their sushi rolls. Most days the kanikama is amazing but on this day it was dry and lacked substance.
Great venue for team luncheon. Not a large place but worked perfectly for our team of 12.
This happy hour is perhaps the best kept secret in the neighborhood- I almost don't want to share it. The HH menu is a steal- sit at the bar and watch the magic of the rolls being made. The steamed buns are amazing- you will not be disappointed! Great gem!
This was my second visit in two weeks. We liked it so much the first time that we decided to come back with a couple of friends and we were not disappointed. The food was still great. However, there was one thing different. The first time we ate in September we ordered Donburi with rib eye beef and it came with sliced beef which was just awesome. This time the dish looked different, more like shredded beef instead of the slices. While still delicious, the sliced version was heaps better. It looked better and seemed to taste better the first time. Other than that, everything else was great. The edamame could have used more salt. The service was also very friendly and attentive.
It was a vey disappointing dinner. Over-priced for the quality. 3 small pieces of octopus was $10.
