Restaurante Fonte Nova - Armamar

Wow. this was recommended to us by the place we stayed, and we are so grateful. what an incredible experience. I am so glad to see so many 5 star reviews here, because they deserve every single star and more. why so excellent? the care and service. the breathtaking food. the incredible outlook. a true interest in ensuring that we were happy and enjoyed. I only wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed another meal to try more dinge, to conduct more talks with the cook, to taste new food, more wine, etc. go and plan to spend a few hours here!

We had so much luck that we were brought to this fabulous restaurant by our great guide igor araujo. can not recommend this restaurant very much.

We had a delicious lunch, local cooking , generous portions and excellent value. The house wine was excellent, it was beautifully hosted, and excellent value. The view was amazing, we would definitely go again (and again)

If you are looking for traditional food, this is the place. The starter is brought as soon as you are seated, gorgeous Portuguese sausage and cheeses, homemade bread. Then the tasty bean soup. The menu has been translated to English which is really helpful. We...had salmon, it was delicious. The service was perfect no long waits between courses and smiling staff. This restaurant is family run. They work so hard and do everything between them. We had a really good bottle of Douro wine and it wasn’t expensive. The whole meal was good value for money and to top it all the bottle of Port is left on the table at the end of the meal at no extra charge. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Pedimos o famoso cabrito,prato típico e muito bem servido acompanhado com o vinho da regiao de Armamar.De entrada,chouriço assado!Uma delicia.Ambiente simples ,familiar e uma vista de tirar o fôlego!
