The Fat Hare - Armidale

I ordered breakfast at 7:35am and it took until 8:15am to get my breakfast (40min) . It was not busy by any standards , a group of 4 got served at 7:45am then we were next in line. The place is stunning, but it 's clear the team work and functionality of the business is an utter mess. The lady was very polite but you could sense the stress and panic of the orders piling up. It 's a shame that reviews from over 6 months ago are saying the same thing i am much later in time today. Hire more staff and get that placed organised as the food is good Gordon Ramsey Voice

Slow service, asked to have 3 soups and a sandwich told it was easy to prepare, as the soup was on the stove) and be gone in 30 mins, said no problems. Ended up getting it in a takeaway container as we hadn't recieved our order and we had to go. One of the soups was cold, and the bread was burnt.

Asked for extra hot latte, was warm not hot. Toasted sourdough with jam came out cold hardly toasted on multigrain bread which I don't like and a smear of butter. With no jam. Had to go back and ask for it while toast got colder. Husband had poached eggs on toast also cold. Staff are friendly and nice and the outlook is lovely but don't think I'd return for the food.

The coffee here was really good. Service was friendly and energetic. We didn't try any food, but the cakes looked awesome (hello chocolate mud cake! and there is a pretty comprehesive and appetising menu that also has a good range of vegetarian options. Definitely going to give it a go the next time.

Ordered a freshly squeezed juice, a chicken salad, took 45 minutes for the take away order, when arrived the juice $7) was at max 200ml, definitely was not freshly squeezed and tasted like sweet cordial with 1/2 of the 200ml container filled with ice, so basically had two mouthfuls of so called juice. the chicken salad was tiny and expensive and contained a tiny amount of chicken the rest was lettuce. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER BE BACK
