Wonder Chinese Restaurant - Armidale

Nice and clean however the service is poor but this can be over looked by the size of the portions and the food is tasty.

This Chinese restaurant in Armidale is more affordable than others in the area. The Christmas decorations and tree add a festive touch to the ambiance. The meals were satisfactory and enjoyable. However, the staff seemed eager to close early. When asked about their closing time, they initially said 9pm but started shutting down at 8:30pm. There was some suspicious behavior observed, as a man arrived, brought in prawns from a local supermarket, disappeared into the kitchen, and then left shortly after. The staff were friendly, but it appeared that they may not have work visas, possibly only student visas.

The staff at this restaurant are friendly and provide great service. The environment is clean and spacious. They offer a lunch special of Mongolian beef with fried rice and a drink for $11, as well as curry king prawn with fried rice and a drink for $12.90. Their regular meal option is the Laksa combination for $17.50, with generous portions of beef, chicken, and prawn, though the flavor doesn't quite match traditional Laksa. Overall, I would visit again.

Fantastic food, the best in town. Value for money also. Highly recommended.

A little pricier than some, but can order online. Good quality meals, they don't skimp on the cashews.
