Guldene Gans - Saalfeld/Saale

Probably the best meal I had in Germany. I had escaped the beef asparagus. I also had the disgusting suppe as a starter. they were well designed and very tasty. I'm staying next door in the anker hotel, so it was a short walk. here and back. the service was excellent. it was an excellent culinary experience at a reasonable price. if they are on the move in southern Germany, they should stop in a room field.

One of the most fantastic restaurants I've ever visited. we had a 5-course menu and wonderful wein to follow the meal. the chef came and told us about eating and we were treated like kings and queens. really a place to go and... cheaply combined what they get.

It is one the best place to have an evening meal in Saalfeld, try the fish. Outside space for eating is very limited. Asparagus in summer a must.
