Seriously one of the worst meals I've ever had. Avoid at all costs. Almost inedible. Deep fried spare ribs with no meat. King prawns at €10 and tasteless. Mains were worse if that's possible.
We got takeaway on two occasions from New Century and it was delicious each time! I'm a fan of chinese/thai starters so ordered the duck with pancakes, hot and sour soup, tom yam soup, salt and chilli chicken wings, onion rings. All of it was gorgeous! Each time we went in, the restaurant was very quiet, one table of customers the first time and empty the second. I don't think chinese food is what people think of getting when they're on holiday but please do try here. Friendly staff and entertaining chinese music channels while you wait!
This place is directly opposite our hotel H10 Gran Tinerfe We needed a change of scenery so we walked all the way across the road... It was a quiet night considering it was prime time for bars and restaurants But this meant our experience was all the more great! I can still taste the food now; it was cooked to perfection and you can only imagine the selection on the menu. They mashed the perfect blend of Thai and Chinese As quiet as it was we were not disturbed by the staff who you may think to be overly attentive we were the only customers. They left us to it and even topped our drinks up a couple of times for free which was insanely nice we did tip big because of this. We didn't sample the desert as the portion sizes were vast. But what we did have was after dinner drinks. Along side this they gave us complimentary shots of liqueurs and at said before we drink we must look in to the shot glass with the clear liquid in. and we saw a comical picture. All in all a good place to eat but the atmosphere was a bit empty
We popped into the New Century for supper during a night out. It is conveniently located just across from the entrance to the Casino. We were struggling to decide what to have when a couple at the next table kindly gave us a tip about the set Thai meal. It was fantastic value and included some of our favourite dishes, including a half crispy duck with pancakes. Every course was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. The waitress was lovely and she enjoyed sharing a few jokes with us. A karaoke machine was playing in the background, although no-one actually got up to have a go while we were there. At the end of the meal we were served free liquor shots in some very interesting shot glasses! We were so amused that we bought some as souvenirs of our night out.
