And that's how I landed here. Not very expensive. Nice people, but eat somewhere else if you can. Eat there if you need.
We've been coming to Arromanches for years and somehow missed this jewel. We visited the early evening after a walk around the city and were greeted like old friends. The two gentlemen who took orders and waited for our table were friendly and friendly... a stunning pizza and a noble pasta dish delivered. Will definitely be back on this trip.
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, otherwise we would not have chosen it, The online reviews were good too. We were very disappointed with the quality of food. Much of what was on the menu was unavailable. I chose a goats cheese salad...which had four prices of very very thin goats cheese (probably meant for a pizza) on part baked poor quality baguette. Decided to pass on dessert, had a very bitter coffee and came away feeling that we had spent €50 on a very sub standard meal. The only positive was the waiter was very nice and attentive. The bar area looked like an old 80s barber shop waiting room and still had Christmas decorations up….
Very friendly, food is ok and good for its price. We had mussels and pizza. Open on Sunday, close to Arromanches 360 cinema.
This place is a short stroll away from the main restaurants by the beach, head for the church on the road to the left just in front of the church. Smallish restaurant with a little bar, there isn’t a large menu but the food is...all very fresh and delightful. Popular with the locals which is always a good sign. We were not disappointed, the sirlion was excellent as were the desserts and wine. Service was also very good and friendly waiter, we visited twice.
