Contribuisci feedbackThis place is an easy 9.8! The food is delicious, the dine in chairs are comfortable, and the service was spot on with taking my order down and bussing the table quickly! The spicy wontons were incredibley flavorful and fresh. My dumplings were juicy and satisfying. This was a perfect date/ solo casual date restaurant. The price was reasonable and I left happy and satisfied.
Yes, you don 't have to drive to the 626 area to get decent Taiwanese style breakfast. In fact, I think some of the items they serve here are better than the ones in the 626 area. My family and I have been coming here for as long as I remember just for their Taiwanese style breakfast. Although they also serve lunch and dinner dishes, we strongly feel that they 're best for their breakfast. If you haven 't tried it before, I definitely recommend coming in with a group of people so you can taste a little bit of everything to see what you like. The service is like any typical Chinese restaurant, they 're extremely busy in the mornings, so expect to be flagging down your server if you need anything. They recently remodeled the establishment so everything looks much neater now. L O C A T I O N P A R K I N G Cross Streets are South St. and Alburtis Ave. Located in the same shopping plaza as Cafe 86, Pepper Lunch, Fresh Catch Seafood Market, BoPoMoFo Cafe, Mian, Garlic and Chives (they 're right next to them) and more! Parking lot is shared with other popular establishments. If you 're coming for breakfast, you want to be there early as certain items do run out and they will not make anymore for the day as they want to keep everything fresh. So if you come here early (before 11 ish), parking should be hassle free. F O O D #104 Salted Soybean Milk For those that prefer something savory, I 'd recommend getting this, adding a bit of vinegar so the soymilk will start to curdle, add desired sauces and seasonings to your liking and add in some of the chopped twisted crullers into the bowl and mix it up. This never disappoints.#105 Sweet Rice Milk (w Peanut) For those that like something sweet but want to try something else other than sweet soymilk, it has a fragrant taste from the peanuts.#106 Twisted Cruller So I believe these run out pretty fast, and if my family is there, it 's probably because my brother has decided to order extra for himself. What I like about their crullers is that they 're actually pretty fluffy and fresh. Other places I 've had, it 's overly fried and you can tell the dough didn 't expand. Would recommend coming in early to ensure these will not be sold out.#113 Salted Rice Roll Another family favorite. It comes chopped in half, so I recommend sharing because these do fill you up or saving it for later. They also have a version that comes with an egg, but I haven 't tried that yet.#121 Pork Gua Bao Pork belly in a bao? Sign me up! They add peanut powder and some pickled vegetables, so if you 're not a big fan of those, you can let them know to remove it.#203 Deep Fried Stinky Tofu Ah, it 's either you hate it or you love this dish with a passion. In my case, I grew up eating stinky tofu so I 'm always excited to have it whenever I 'm here. It 's not the best stinky tofu, but honestly nothing in California can beat the stinky tofu in Taiwan, so I 'll take whatever I can. It pairs well with the pickled radish which serves as a good palate cleanser.#204 Intestine with Garlic Sauce My first time ordering this and I was pleasantly surprised how generous they were with the intestines. Super addicting.#207 Meat Rolls with Onion In Chinese, it directly translates to Chicken Roll but I believe there 's actually no chicken in the recipe. It 's usually a combination of tofu skin, fish paste, carrots and other ingredients that serve to mimic chicken. Back in the day, they didn 't want to waste ingredients and didn 't have a fridge to make sure the meat wouldn 't go bad, so they came out with this dish. Not many places serve this dish and even if they do, it doesn 't taste authentic enough. Theirs though, was super authentic and perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Pretty Average Chinese/taiwanese food. The pork chops were a bit too salty, the fried crab was too oily and had little meet and too much oil. the Mongolian beef and the cabbage were good with the rice. The waiters were kind, service was quick. I don’t think we waited for more than 5-7 minutes. It was satisfying because I was super hungry. Overall decent place, would recommend for a quick in and out lunch but not so much for the vibes and experience.
One of the things I look forward to the most when visiting LA is the Taiwanese food. We came to this restaurant to get Taiwanese breakfast and it did not disappoint! There's a pretty big selection of breakfast items. We ordered some sweet soy milk, turnip cake, egg pancake with pork sung, and a purple rice roll. Everything was very tasty. Overall, would recommend.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Loved their sizzling rice soup, salt pepper squid, pan fried noodles, and 3 ingredient Kung Pao. Perfect amount of spice and flavors.
