There was no greeting of the waitress when we entered the restaurant and she never smiled the whole time this night. We sat down at a long table, but the table was not long enough for all of us. The waitresses put a side table at the end, but did not care about that the side table was shaky. I was asked if I wanted to have a Swedish or English menu. I said Swedish and got an English version. When the waitress came to take the order I chose the three course menu with Beef Tartar as a starter, Entrecote as a main and Blueberry Pie as dessert. First we got some fresh bread with spread on the side. That was delicious. So I hoped for a high standard and high quality of the food. Then the Beef Tartar came and tasted good. I have had better but also worse Beef Tartar in other restaurants, so this was quite ok and I was happy. A couple minutes later the waitress served the Entrecote, forgot the Bernaise Sauce and forgot to bring new silverware. But what was on my plate? It was something with meat but already sliced. What the hell was going on here? I could see my meat was medium rare like I ordered. The French Fries on the side were some convenience products tasting old grease and I never saw some Side Salad. I had to go to the counter asking for the sauce because my meat got cold if I would wait any longer. Then I took the first bite of the sliced meat and had to chew and chew. The meat was from low quality and it was hard to believe this was Entrecote. Maybe yes, but the whole meat pieces were chewy and not well seasoned. That was a huge disappointment. Does this restaurant really has a recommendation from the White Guide? Replacements of the beverages took also a long time and the waitresses did not pay attention to our table and were overstrained with their work. The dessert was served but we were never asked about Espresso or something else. The Blueberry Pie was ok but nothing special. It did not taste really good and the consistency of the pie was hard and pressed. The spoon of ice cream on the side tasted odd. So I asked what kind of flavor it was. The waitress answered Vanilla. Of course this was not true, maybe the ice cream was out of date. It was more a taste of buttermilk or something. It took another ten minutes to order an Espresso. Later when we wanted to pay nobody wanted to have our money and we had to look and ask for the waitress. This night out in the Fjälls Pub Bistro was a huge disappointment.
