As you enter the front door, you will be greeted by a wide array of fun souvenirs. The interior is a traditional old Japanese house with high raised thresholds and low ceilings, giving off a warm wooden ambiance. Upstairs, you will find cozy cafe-style tables where you can relax and enjoy the view of the Takeda Castle ruins from the window on sunny days! The establishment also offers accommodation, with guests enjoying their meals in the morning and evening. Dining in a countryside old house is a unique experience that you may not find in the city, and it is truly enjoyable! The course menu offers generous portions and allows you to savor Tajima beef. I highly recommend experiencing a stay here at least once!
Located about a 3-minute walk from Takeda Station, this restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere. I visited in the early afternoon on a weekday, so there were few people and I was able to spend a quiet time. While most shops are closed on Thursdays, this restaurant was open. Upon entering the restaurant, there were a few small souvenirs displayed, and there was a place to take off your shoes before going up. There were TV monitors on both sides of the large room, both showing images of Takeda Castle ruins. I came here not for lunch, but for a cafe experience, and enjoyed cake and iced coffee. The moist texture of the cake and the subtle sweetness that spread in my mouth with each bite was delicious. It was just the right amount of sweetness.
I went with four friends on a three-day weekend in November after visiting Takeda Castle. The atmosphere of the traditional townhouse was very stylish and they had unique souvenirs like original hand towels and cute items like Kewpie dolls, which made it fun. We were seated at a kotatsu table, which was great because it was a bit chilly that day. I ordered the sukiyaki made with premium Tajima beef for lunch. There were many different types of appetizers, which was enjoyable. Compared to the beef my friend ordered, the premium beef was completely different. I ate it with the highly acclaimed Japanese eggs, which had a rich yolk and intense flavor, and it paired amazingly well with the Tajima beef. I ended up eating it quickly and forgot to take a picture, haha. I saw that they had Japanese sake on the menu, which I thought would go well with sukiyaki, but we were driving so I had to pass on it. There are not many places that serve Japanese cuisine, so I was grateful to find this restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal.
