Line can be long because it's popular and they send every slice to do a turn in the oven so it can be a bit before you order and get your slice. Not big on when you pay it asks you for a tip before completing the transaction as many places do nowadays and the cashier points out the tip feature. You're literally taking my order and someone else is handing me a slice of pizza. Not a tipping situation. And yes I've worked in multiple food settings including pizzerias. People don't tip when getting a slice usually. I did have one person who said if you don't want to tip just hit no tip and because she said that I tipped her. I appreciated that. Nice option if you want something quick and relatively inexpensive compared to the other restaurants on the boardwalk.
The place has declined this year. In the past, the pizza was excellent and service prompt. Been there 3 times this year and, each time, the same poor experience. The pizza was soggy and cold. Service was inattentive. They now only accept credit cards, no cash. They even have the audacity to charge a fee for using a credit card when CC is the only form of payment they accept. They went out of their way to remind me how to add a tip to the credit card. Perhaps the management has changed this year. Too bad, it WAS one of my favs.
It was my first and last experience in this place, I placed an order for 2 pies 18 inches each and we have to wait 30 minutes then pizza came out 16 inches not 18 as provided and very thin, when I asked the manager why it is small he said take it or leave it and my kids were very hungry so I have to take it, then I asked the young girl at the counter if I can speak with the owner, She yelled front of all the customers, get out of my face now, This is very disrespectful to the customer and well never come back again, They need to know how to treat their customers in a better way.
I have been a fan since Trenton, through their problems in Seaside, and now AP.Always my favorite pizza and was happy to see them recognized in the statewide contest.
Excellent tomato pie style pizza. Great sauce, great dough consistency and right on the boardwalk. Only gripe is that they run out of slices very quickly.
