Despite the start of the season in three weeks, we decided not to train for a holiday and instead to French sociality. It's supposed to take a little walk and go back in the end. So 16 people from Mainaschaff walked through the field and corridor to the Strietwald district of Aschaffenburg. After half an hour we reached our destination, the Gaststätte Almhütte. This is a place that has been with constantly changing guards for many years. For example, Italians, Asians, Balkans and German gastronomy tried more or less their luck. The last new opening was at the beginning of 2017. Since then it has been called Almhütte Zum Buddy and offers German bourgeois cuisine, but also Burger and Vesper can be found on the map. There are discounts on three days a week. Tuesday is Burgertag, Wednesday is Chicken Day and Thursday is Schnitzeltag. During our visit the chicken day fell due to the holiday. Service We had reserved logically. Since we were at once four, because they came by the car, the reserved tables had to be changed and pushed together so that each of our groups enjoyed a place. The boss personally sat down after he kindly greeted us. A female service brought the menus to the tables and immediately took up the beverage order table by table. It also treated the ordering process of each food. When serving drinks, a beer lid was placed for each person on which the amount of drink was written. A line was made when it was late. So she kept an overview during the payment process, as we paid in pairs. Initially empty glasses were seen and retrieval orders were executed immediately. Later she made a smoke break on the terrace so that you sat 10 minutes before its empty glass. A second service was probably added at short notice, which served guests on the terrace. Although the restaurant and also the narrow terrace on two sides of the house were more and more filled with guests, the waiting time for the food was in a reasonably reasonable environment. When she served, she was supported by the boss so that within 10 minutes all her food had before her. With renewed payment, the paper industry was trump. What was standing on the lid of each pair was transferred to a block, counted together and the amount communicated orally. On request one of the papers was delivered. I'm waiting for a real bafide that was promised to my question today. They did their job, but they didn't. And because of the smoke breaks, I can only forgive 2.5*. The food that I cannot now evaluate every single meal here and limit myself to my wife, as well as those of the two people sitting opposite. For me I ordered the carving by Grandma Art (10,90 €). Carved carving with bacon, onions in a bratsauce, and I chose roast potatoes as a supplement. Schnitzel Grandmother-Art After my plate was served, I had to go through it vigorously. The optical presentation suffered something. A murder part was on the plate. Two large, delicate scavengers, covered with the bratsauce, in which the numerous small bacon cubes and the small fragments of fried onions were found. The usual roast potatoes were also provided with bacon cubes and not only looked good, but also tasted me. The spicy sauce made a real thirst. Two muddy pilgrims (0.4 l, 2.40 € had to make during the meal. After I had eaten one and a half carvings and roast potatoes, there was a pick-up to which I could pass half of the remaining carvings with sauce, then my plate was empty when I cleaned. Sweetheart on my side for homemade cheese parrots with onions (8,90 €). Cheese parrots Your food was served in a pan with saucer. Here too is a powerful part. The crawling onions should have been a little more. Unfortunately, the cheese was a bit down as you say in our area if there is no taste. A sharp cheese would have been better. Although they cleaned the plate empty with melon decoration, it was not satisfied, at least it was filled. Her food was accompanied by a rosé wine (Lemberger, 0.25-l-glass, 3,80 € and a bottle of Sodenthaler Gourmet Mineral Water (0.7 l, 3,90 €). In both dishes a fresh additional salad was served in advance, which was included in the price. This was made with a sweet acidic vinaigrette and tasted well (see details see photo). The conus' sister ordered a cheeseburger. I think the Buns were TK, the Patty himself. The pommes were nicely browned, outside crispy and inside soft. I don't know the price, I think about the nine euros. Anyway, she was happy. Your husband, beside her, ordered the cheese with onions, butter and bread. In a porcelain bowl on the plate were found four thick discs, slightly warm and beautiful. A salad deco and many raw onions were in the bowl. On the plate was fresh bread and butter. Separate a spoon full of cumin. He tasted it. The feedback from the 16 others to me fluctuated between good, fine, but also dissatisfaction, while dissatisfaction was overwhelmed, partly because the ordered food was presented differently or because it was not so tasteful. 2.5* I find everything good and fair! Ambiente Can not be rated. There's no one. A setup like you've seen it a hundred times. Dark wood furniture. Due to the high trees on the outside it is also dark on the bright day. Who doesn't sit on the window needs light from the old lamps hanging over the tables. Cleanliness inside there is nothing to complain. On the terrace you should consider the passage of the massive leaves that not only fall from the trees, but also to put them into practice. It doesn't look good. The old toilets in the days are clean as it is. Conclusion: On the Facebook page of the Almhütte there are many two- or three-line praise songs of the guests to read. Unfortunately, after our impressions, I cannot understand this as an approach. Therefore my overall impression: (after kitchen trip 2.5 hardly again!
