The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the Internet connection was fast and trouble-free. The bathroom facilities were very good and the breakfast was adequate. Parking...is plentiful, but a satnav is adviseable since the location is quite bucolic. The drive to the Danish border takes around thirty minutes, which suited me. Good place to stay after a long drive.
Originally booked into another hotel in the area but was re-directed due to overbooking. Hotel was built into the side of a hill so the view from the room was not impeded by other buildings but expansive and running out over the valley. The room...itself was modern and tastefully decorated, modern finishes and very comfortable. My only issue was the circulation of air in the room at night. It became a bit stuffy and there were not windows to open (other than the floor to ceiling full sliding glass doors). Breakfast was brilliant, laid back and comfortable but in the main building, back up the hill. English was not an issue with the staff members and the overall experience was very good. Great jumping off point for hikes and nature/wellness events in the local area...family friendly for sure, great location.
Came on motorbikes for destination with family. Took the lift to the viewing platform and admired the view. Had been here the year before too. Stopped for a cold drink and carried on, on our motorbike tour.
A nice spot to see the overview of the landscape. Cool interior and menu. The afternoon cakes are amazing and food is traditional northern german. great value for money.
As per my title, do I share this or keep it to myself???? so have decided to share..... I had typed in TripA restaurants near Rendsburg and my husband and I chose Globetrotter Lodge as it sounded different and good, so we went to explore...during the day after reading their website. Where the Lodge is situated is rural and up on a hill. It is easy to get to, surrounded by countryside. It was a Friday afternoon and had been snowing during the week, so some families were out exploring this area too. We went up to the viewing tower and a spectacular view was had. There was a group of people near the hotel taking part in a class of dog-sleighing! Then we ventured into the restaurant area. But first we spoke to a young man in reception area with very good English. We asked questions on times open and when to book and about the menu. Thereafter we booked for later that evening. We had a fantastic meal. We chose the Hunt Lodge menu. courses! worth every cent and more (wine, water, coffee not included). The food was perfect, excellent, tasty and enjoyable and memorable. We talked and compared to other places we had been to. We shall be returning and possibly stay at the lodge overnight. Thank you Globetrotter Lodge we totally enjoyed our evening at your establishment. (I wish I had taken photos
