Bear's Smokehouse Barbecue - Asheville

Mediocre bbq, no tasty sides not even any greens on the menu?? bbq sauces taste like sweet baby rays. As someone who works in the service industry, I find it very worrisome that there’s no Mask Required signs anywhere in site even as covid spikes are shutting down many restaurants here in asheville to protect staff/patrons. Seems very counterproductive requiring your staff to wear masks but not patrons while ordering or sitting inside even as buncombe county has a mask mandate for restaurants. Will not be back. Better off going to luella’s for real homey bbq. Don’t think this place will last.

The personal was incredibly friendly and fast to make recommendations. I'm out of town and ate here twice because it was so fantastic. they'll get the brisket and the burnt ends. the sausage of Texas was also good. but do not sleep on the baked begging because they are simply amazing. they can glee and swing at this place.

Eating was amazing! the flesh is so tender. you chose what sauce goes on the flesh. the personal was super friendly. also a dog-friendly place. highly recommended! the best place in asheville we tried!

My daughter and I could eat at 4 o'clock in asheville on Tuesday. nothing was open. besides bear’s on coxe ave! we have stopped and are soouo happy that we have made it. my daughter loves bark brisket and tries to wherever she can get it. she said: this is the best Brisket sandwich I've ever eaten, I've pulled pork with kartoffels and broccoli salad. the swarm was so slim and tender - slightly smokey, without being overwhelming. the zimt in the sweet potato so fresh and perfect and, I drank the delicious sauce rest of the broccoli salad, I loved it all so much! that's wonderful, WONDERFUL food. Get some!

Delicious! and the team worked super friendly both with customers and among themselves. it was a great place to treat us like family. eating was simply amazing, we had brisket, ripening, kielbasa and pulled pork, mac cheese, salat, maisbrot, apple claw and bear balls. everything was perfectly cooked.
