Contribuisci feedbackWhile the food met expectations, my experience was marred by poor customer service. Constructive feedback should never be met with defensiveness or hostility. It's not about the customer always being right, but rather about fostering an environment where dialogue is met with respect and understanding. Staff training should prioritize the ability to handle feedback gracefully, ensuring that every guest feels valued and respected. Rather than welcoming feedback as an opportunity for growth, the staff appeared to perceive it as a personal affront, resulting in an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter with not one, but three staff members. I will not be returning.
We complained about the martini glass, which was not a martini glass. A manager came out was a very insulting, extremely rude and then the waitress became rude and the bus boy was even more rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s a very hostile environment.
The location is in a unique area and the food is excellent. The pasta is very fresh! Slightly confused by the pizza oven in the restaurant but they have a sister restaurant serving Italian Street food and Pizza nearby. Their tiramisu has an ice cream twist which was a delight.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Asheville and top 5 of all the places I've ever been. My partner and I recelebrated our anniversary here after a bad dinner at another restaurant the night before. The apps have olives and focaccia bread staples that are usually there and always amazing. We had a tasty burrata and carrot cold dish in a savory oil. Entrees: Tagliatelle with tomato meat sauce is savory, flavorful, and hearty. Incredible comfort food and reheats really well without drying out. Tortelloni with trumpet mushrooms and black truffle is beautifully seasoned. The cheese paired with the filling is nutty and bold. We finished the entire plate right then and there. Leg of lamb with cauliflower and capers. My God. I got a food high from this dish alone and nearly ignored my partner the entire time I was eating it. The slightly sweet maybe red wine sauce and puree was delicious, I kept wiping it up with pieces of lamb that was cooked to perfection. I've never experienced lamb like that before. Gianduja Budino is my favorite dessert. A thick, smooth chocolate custard like filling, with a sea salt caramel thin layer under toasted hazelnuts. It's a dessert you'll fantasize about later. Nicala H. was our server. Attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable. She was the perfect addition to our experience. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp on the side of the restaurant with tables.
We decided to visit Asheville 's 4 best Italian restaurants Luminosa, Cucina24, Contrada, and Strada in a single week and see which we liked the best. Cucina was our second destination of the week and had the very best service by far. The food was pretty good we thought the pastas were better at Luminosa but we really liked our salad and the focaccia is out of this world, made in a traditional style that would stand up to any Ligurian focacceria. Ultimately though, the good food is just an added bonus to the excellent service, which has us looking forward to our next visit already. Highly recommend.
