Vegan options are clearly marked. Veggie gyoza, fried tofu, eggplant, garlic edamame, shishito peppers, even veganized pork buns (with tofu and eggplant). It's hard to find authentic Japanese places with solid vegan options because so many use fish sauce. We highly recommend this place and will be back! (Ignore the bad takeout reviews tapas is meant to be eaten fresh). Thank you, Itto!
Vegan on this menu does not mean vegan as is, it means the dish CAN BE made vegan Cute and cozy with several vegan tapas. We tried the itto fried tofu, harumake, tempura onion rings, and they were all delicious The itto vegetable ramen was a little disappointing. The noodles were OK but had a very strong kale flavor. There were only 3 pieces of tofu, but the tofu was VERY good. The bowl was 90% noodle. I would suggest asking for extra tofu and/or veggies if you want to try this dish.
Simply put, this was probably the worst takeout meal I’ve ever ordered. The broth smelled like it had gone bad and it had literally one broccoli floret for vegetables. $13 for gross broth and a bunch of noodles. I took a few bites and decided I couldn’t stomach it and threw the rest out. Won’t be back. If you want decent ramen, try Gan Shan around the corner. Or even a $1 pack of ramen noodles from the Asian market.
$12 will get you a very mediocre bowl of vegan ramen with one floret of broccoli, 3 bamboo shoots, 3 pieces of tofu and some okay noodles. The “creamy broth” tasted like miso with salt, pepper, and soy milk. Girlfriend didn’t finish hers. 1 extra star for actually having a vegan option!
