Lakeside Cafe - Ashfield

I started coming to this cafe in 2018 when I worked across the road in the business park and now in 2024, even though I don't work on the business park anymore I'm still going, both on my lunch break at work and in my free time. This has to be my favourite cafe. Never had a bad meal or experience here. The food, especially the Thursday Lasagna Special, is amazing! Such good value for money and so tasty. So much choice for food, staff are so friendly and accommodating. They have seating, so you can sit and eat in as well as take away. I constantly recommend to all my friends, work colleagues and family and will continue to do so. I will continue to be a regular customer here for many years to come. Thank you to all the staff for everything, they all are incredible.

Banging food and £5.90 for a full English breakfast including a cuppa!!

Lovely staff, friendly and appeared to enjoy being at work. Nice breakfast, menu said 'full English ' but was missing the fried bread black pudding but I 'm sure if I asked they would probably have it somewhere for an extra cost. Was glad that the price for a 'full English ' included a drink.

Prices are dearer than what's shown on the menu board, either that or the staff can't add up properly, ordered a sausage sandwich and chips, the sausages were a mixture of being rock hard, or stone cold. The chips (with salt-about 3 granules, give or take 2 granules) were soggy and just warm,before i finished them they were cold....very poor,probably the worst cafe food i've ever had, as i'm typing this the food is turning in my stomach,Never again, avoid.

Always loverly food nice clean cafe friendly staff couldnt be more helpfull highly recomend
