Masala - Ashland

My friends and I were headed to a different restaurant when we stumbled upon this place. Robert, the bartender, was exceptional and made sure we were well taken care of. The cocktails were delicious, the food was outstanding, and the staff was delightful. This hidden gem was a fantastic discovery and we ended up never making it to the other restaurant we originally planned to go to.

After dining at this restaurant multiple times, I feel like I have entered paradise. The flavors are exceptional and the service is top-notch. However, be aware that it can get very busy with every table occupied, leading to a noisy atmosphere.

What a GREAT Ashland restaurant! I've lived here for nearly five years and the fact I'm just discovering how delicious their food is feels like a crime. We got the biryani and butter chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. Very generous portion sizes,and definitely no skimping on the protein! The service was awesome, as well, our waiter/bartender was great, quick, and veryfriendly. I'll definitely be coming back here whenever I'm in the railroad district.

We have tried Indian cuisine in various countries, including India itself. Our dining experience at Masala was exceptional. The chefs elevated the dishes to a unique level, drawing inspiration from traditional recipes but with a distinctive twist. The service was also impeccable, with attentive and friendly servers who were knowledgeable about each dish. A special thank you to Amanda for making our visit truly delightful!

Food was not very good. Coconut fish curry was flavorless. Chicken biryani was just ok. Butter chicken was barely passable. Samosas though we're excellent.
