Owned and created by a dynamic woman who has a passion for good food with simple, healthy ingredients, (with high consciousness about food sensitivities and allergies and many gluten free options, including the entire mixed drink menu thank you! Beer, seltzer and wine are also served. The tapas were incredibly delicious. This is the food I’ve been waiting for!I will definitely be back with more friends:
My husband's and I love this place. The owner is adorable and overly accommodating and the staff is so very friendly. We brought our daughter, who is extremely picky. The owner offered to make her a sandwich not on the menu and if she did not like it there would be no charge. Well she gobbled it right up!! We have been multiple times and will continue to go back. Great food, happy atmosphere and a little something different. We love that they are part of the Center off the Universe !!
I was not going to write this review. Instead, I was just going to pretend like I never visited this place. But, things have persuaded me to go in a different direction.First, the store front does not attract you to want to go inside but I have had some of my best times in sketchy looking establishments. After entering I found the staff to be very welcoming. We were a party of 10 and you jumped right in to accommodate us. We did try to call several times.. The place was dead. There was a couple at the bar that had already signed their check. Also, a young couple that had ready starting drinking. Then a four top did come in while we were about 3/4 done with our meal. I was the one that asked is it always this slow in here. The Cost: $12 for the Meatball Meze$12 for the Tastings$5.00 tipThe Food: I ordered the Meatball Meze at the owners recommendations. To say it was not good is an understatement. It was store bought olives. And I know this because I love olives... I buy them all the time. Walnuts, nothing special about them. The slices of bread was very hard. Why would you serve hard bread with this meal. Unfortunately, it gets worse because the meatballs were warm and topped with cold cheese. Nothing else on this entire plate was warm except for the meatballs. Either serve then cold like everything else or serve then Hot! This is food safety #1! (All reheated foods should reach an internal temperature of 165 or greater for atleast 15 seconds. So, again either serve them hot or serve then cold but NEVER warm! The Environment: Nothing special. Actually it was very underwhelming. Especially the pre-plated foods in zip lock bags in that cold case with water dripping down on them. The Service: The owner has a passion that is not seen very often. And I truly applaud her for that. She really stands behind her food. But, there is a point when passion becomes obsession. Prime example is the tomatoes. I love tomatoes. But my brother, like many people I know, do not like tomatoes. As a matter of fact the roasted heirloom tomatoes you were trying desperately to get everyone to eat I buy from Kroger weekly. But I add spices when I roast them. Maybe you can just add a touch of salt?Summary: The food was not good. Several different meal items were chosen and most people at the table did not enjoy what they received. My Suggestion: I have traveled the world. And still traveling. You have a passion that can help you become very successful and I truly hope you achieve that success. But, you need to have tougher skin. One person out of this group give you a poor review. Instead of giving a standard we 're sorry, please give us another chance in the future... ect... You thought it made sense to get in an online argument with that one person. Now instead of one poor review you have 10. Passion becomes obsession, obsession leads to a state of manic.PS. Tell Cody Robinson he needs to mind his own business. He 's the reason why I wrote this review.Francis
We found this wonderful little spot on accident and are so happy that we did! The staff was fun, funny, and accommodating. Every single thing that we ordered was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Saganaki!
We ate at The Fox and The Phoenix yesterday. It was scrumptious!!! We got beef empanadas and a charcuterie board along with two different local beers. I saw several items on the menu I’ll be trying next time. The chef was amazing and Nita took good care of us. It felt like everyone knew everyone. Very warm and friendly! The food and excellent choices in local beer is perfection! I truly hope people find and support this new place. We’ll definitely be back soon! There’s also a nice bar area with moonshine, bourbon, etc, from their own distillery!
