Ellina - ASPEN

This is for Jill the owner of this fabulous place to eat being a local and when asked where they should eat I always mention your restaurant FIRST food is so good

The food was delicious I had the filet and my fiancé had the pork chop. We both had the frisée and beet salad. The service and food were first class. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday night and fortunately we had dinner reservations. The only thing was that it was quite loud with the restaurant full. Not a deal breaker considering how wonderful the food and service was, but it was a little difficult to hear our conversation and I felt the need to speak up when ordering.

We had a disappointing experience here recently. I had been excited to try Ellina for a long time but it was pretty much a let down from start to finish. We were at a table all the way in the back that seemed to be forgotten about. Our server rarely came over and it took forever to get someone’s attention to even order. When we did get our food, literally everything was too spicy. Not a single thing on the menu mentioned it was spicy or had chilis but everything was too hot, some things were inedible because of this. And with aspen prices, we were sorely disappointed. Will NOT be coming back here.

Great atmosphere, service, and food! Wine list is extraordinary!

Beautiful and cozy spot, we loved the polenta and bruschetta starters, and the spaghetti really was amazing! Huge wine list.
