This was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary . We dined inside where large windows enabled us to experience the beauty of the splendid mountain bowl that enveloped the restaurant. Food was excellent. Lexi our server was professional and friendly and provided dessert for our anniversary. We totally enjoyed the evening!
Booked outside on patio, told 'not serving outside '.... (Which I understand: chance of rain... but outside is WHY we booked Plato 's. Others were then seated outside. As others have noted, the service was spotty AT BEST, and I assume this was the case because they appear to be understaffed. Basic service issues required multiple asks, and long periods of time between. LOTS of screaming kids, probably staying at Aspen Meadows, with parents who couldn 't be bothered to address it, nor did the restaurant staff. Food: 2 of our party (of four enjoyed our salads and entrees, 2 did not. One hot entree was served cold. Serving sizes are small. Plato 's has been one of our go to 's to avoid the madness of the Core, but it 's now off my list: a restaurant may survive with marginal food and great service, or great food and marginal service, but not poor service AND average food, particularly at the Aspen price point. SO many other options are a better bang for the proverbial buck. Sad to see one of our favorites decline so................
Food portions are every small and taste was okay. Server seemed to be rushed the whole time. Very overpriced for what they offer. Not coming back.
We always love our food here! Had a not so great service experience this time but enjoyed our food and the views.
