Charlie's Chowder House - Astoria

We dined here for dinner and couldn't have been more satisfied. The decor and ambiance have a distinct coastal vibe, with vibrant artwork and bamboo accents at the bar. The staff was welcoming, and the food was exceptional. The chowder was outstanding, and the salmon club sandwich was packed with flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love seafood and find yourself in Astoria.

A truly wonderful hidden gem! The food is excellent, and the retro atmosphere adds to the charm. I ordered the black salmon, paired with some of the best au gratin potatoes I’ve ever tasted. My wife enjoyed a fantastic mushroom chicken dish. For our appetizer, we had pâté and spicy grilled shrimp, both of which were delightful. This is a fantastic spot for a memorable meal!

Charlie 's is one of my new favorites in Astoria. Took a chance on a new place and I was not disappointed. Many restaurants advertise artisan burgers but Charlie 's actually delivers a superb burger. I also ordered a margarita and it was the best ones I 'd had in some time. Fantastic!

Decor is thrift store meets cabin in the woods. Nice homey comfortable feel. Brussel sprouts are amazing, coming from a girl that doesn't really like Brussels sprouts. Our server was quirky and fun. I would recommend this place for reasonably priced dinner. Steaks were cooked to perfection.

I had a fantastic steak sandwich here. My friend ordered a dish that arrived in a small cast iron pot, and it remained warm even after 20 minutes. The restaurant has a lovely local vibe, and the bartender does his best to be attentive to all the guests. I would definitely recommend it!
