Golden Star - Astoria

Service was fantastic. just eating isn't what I expected

Golden star was the best place to have Chinese food in clatsop county. I can't say that anymore. new owners bought the place and the food quality has suffered. I ordered an evening dinner plate, the pork fried rice, broccoli cattle, huh subgum chow pornstar and sesam huh. I loved the dizziness, but the last couple times we were here, it wasn't good. the sweet dishes were okay, but the chicken was dry. we were even told that it would cost a $1 person for tee. I understand the higher food prices, but the tee fee seemed too much. I'm not sure where to go for Chinese food, but I'm pretty sure it's not here.

They stay away, new owners have ruined the food here. does not help the homeless, on the way to camp. and the crawlers who smoke in the back area where we used to park, make me not feel better can not say whether they work there or not) anyway, the eating was uncooked, meat tasted like a dirty deep cooler, and all that was deep-fried was stained with old chick oil as it had cooked a week old!

We didn't even have Chinese food and it's one of my favorite animals. we were so disappointed. the food tasted as if it had been in a pan that was prepared before and then heated again. the sweet was limp and lifeless. the pork knowhow mine was probably something of the worst we ever had. the eier roles were unusable. barb q pork was subpar. we sat in the lounge because nobody else was in the restaurant and the bartender went outside and smoked twice and never washed their hands when she came back. we are not coming back.

My family has been going here for years, the staff are fantastic and the food is the best Chinese in town for a great price.
