Finding a place to eat in the middle of the afternoon is not easy in France. In the big cities, you have Brasseries and Diocese that do not close, but in small towns and villages it is all dead between 2PM and 6-7-8PM. So, it's a good idea to note that if you are on the highway (blue marked roads) you will find residual areas (they are called Aire, followed by a name, in this case it was Aire du Val de Cher). We stopped for lunch at 3:00, had salads and good coffee. It is like 7o etc., but sells wine and has clean toilets. Very useful.
