Catalyst Cafe - Athens

The Catalyst Cafe is conveniently located right opposite the west end of the West Union, so you get the college scene fairly escape, get a nice table in a low-key environment, and enjoy a quality cum what you like. Your hours are somewhat strange, with earlier closing times than most other places (and especially different in summer). Parking is usually easy, and the outdoor tables are either by the water feature or directly on the West Union (hot in the sun! are a nice touch. My favourite place for sitting is at the top where they have limited, but sufficient and open small tables. The service is always pleasant, but because there is only one server each, you can sometimes wait up to 10 minutes to be served. There's no ride. I would give them 5 stars, except it seems management has a bit of one we know what's best for you setting in that they don't have any artificial sweets available. Don't you want sugar on your teeth or in your tea or coffee? Shame! You can only choose honey or raw sugar. Other than that, and sometimes uncomfortable hours, it is a really beautiful place with good drinks, a beautiful mood, and friendly people.

Off Campus Coffee Shop, which is a fun place to hang out. Large natural lighting and open concept. Serves Silverbridge coffee and breakfast pastries. Not much space for big groups. Short distance from the cycle path.

I go to Athens for free parking and coffee meetings without the effort of one meter. Coffee and snacks are great, and service is also fast. The huge open windows make it a big meeting place as you can see the river and the passersby when things get tired.

I went here for the first time with a few friends and loved what they got. They had only one chai left: so I allowed my friend to get it while I tried one of their wide selection of local teas. The Royal Cinnamon tea was tasteful and all our treats were nice compliments to our drinks. And a very cool atmosphere.

The best coffee in Athens hands down. Beautifully fresh and dynamic ingredients. Greats snacks also. The large window overlooking the hawking let's in the most amazing natural light. Be careful to check out their hours before you go. A true hidden gem of Athens
