Schlotzsky's - Athens

I tried the new shrimp and Mac and cheese. I loved it . Mac and cheese was not dry and cheese was still stringy. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. I had a pick 2 so I also had 1/2 ham and cheese. I asked for sauce on side. I am glad they did I found out it was yellow mustard. I am allergic to. So the condiments area had mayo so I was able to add just the amount I wanted. Place was clean, service was great and the waiters kept the area Clean while we eating and asking if they could do anything else for us. Definitely will recommend to friends and will come again

If there was a must eat chain restaurant in The Classic City, Schlotzsky's is the first that comes to mind, and rightfully so.

Definitely recommend! Very much enjoyed the food. Ordered a small sandwich and was surprised it was the size of a regular sandwich anywhere else. Pre pandemic I would think the price, 6.99, a little high but I guess the price reflects the world we are living in today. Also, due to staffing shortages, had a bit of a wait for the sandwich. Again, would definitely recommend.

Wish there were more of these around! I miss eating here when I lived here. Always have the best bread that has the perfect crisp on the bottom crust. My favorite is the deluxe original, generously stuffed and dressed just how I like it.
