Souvlaki's Mediterranean Garden

We've learned about this place a few years ago, but recently visited... I wish we hadn't waited so LONG!!! The food was DELICIOUS and the owners were VERY SWEET! We had the hummas and I had a gyro while my husband had the souvlaki... it was amazing. The place was very juicy and simple, but the food was more than made for him. We will definitely be back!!!!

Great food, service people. In every respect, this place could be described as a hole in the wall that you could walk past and be the poorest. My son and his girlfriend had desperate to find a place to host their family and mine for a post office Ohio U dinner, when, with just days to go, they discovered Souvlaki 's Mediterranean garden has a room right in front of the service counters and during the discussion their needs with the owner, got an immediate, heartwarming natural! Answer! They arranged a table that could accommodate our party of 20. We had wonderful Dolmades(sp? Wine grape leaves wrapped around the picked rice), hummus and Baba ganoush with pita for starters, then ordered from the menu (which is wonderful falafel, halal gyro lamb/beef, chicken, salads all delicious). Their two small energetic children helped the table so LIEBELY family! The owners are from Jordan, came to Athens when OU students fell in love with each other and stayed in love with the city. I can't say enough for the owners and the food and their hospitality. We will never forget them, the food or the way they let us all feel this night.

You absolutely have to try this place! The food is fantastic, and I always visit the Mediterranean whenever I'm in the area. The service is excellent too!

Absolutely love this place, the owners treat me like family each time they see me and always greeted with a handshake . Food is AMAZING , best gyros I’ve had in my life . If you want great food every time , this is the place to go .

I enjoyed some delicious late-night food at this restaurant, which was buzzing with beautiful women who seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere just as much as I was. The vibe was lively, and the service was quick. While I wish the Union Street Diner, with all its tempting late-night breakfast options, was open, I was really pleased with my experience at Souflakis tonight. It's definitely a fantastic late-night spot with great food!
