Wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I went and did their 3 for $38 deal per person. We each got 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and one dessert! The goat cheese crostini with sun dried tomatoes and roasted garlic was fantastic! We also had the calamari. The filet mignon was perfect and we also had the mahi mahi with hush puppies. For dessert, we had apple pie and ice cream plus mini cannolis! For our first time there, we had a wonderful time with the atmosphere and staff! Great date night option!

Wow. My husband and I ate here tonight and we are absolutely disappointed in our experience here. From the moment we sat down, it all went downhill. When we ordered our drinks (sweet teas), we didn’t get them for 10 minutes. The tea was unsweetened. I got up and let the waiter know and we then waited another 10-15 minutes to get the new teas. The sweet tea was subpar at best (others in the restaurant also complained that the tea wasn’t good). So we asked for Coke’s. Flat. We stuck with water after that. We placed our orders and waited 30 minutes on the food (that’s understandable for fresh food). My husband had ordered the fried shrimp and I ordered the battered cod. My husbands order was wrong, they brought him the same food that I ordered. So we then waited another about 20 minutes for them to bring out what he actually ordered. We were told that we wouldn’t be “up charged” for the correct meal being brought. I have no idea who would tell a customer that we wouldn’t be charged a difference in cost when we were brought the wrong food to begin with. I didn’t want to eat without my husband so my food sat and got cold for that 20 minutes until he got his. My meal was supposed to include honey butter to dip the hush puppies in but I was told after I already had my food that they didn’t have any. That was literally part of the meal missing that was described on the menu as included and what I was looking forward to. I have never wanted to walk out of a restaurant until tonight. The small amount of service we did receive was horrible in every aspect. The food was not worth the cost for sure. We will never be back to eat here and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Square One 's new tag line: I 'm sorry about that. Visiting Square One might be one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had in a while. I will preface with the fact that my wife and I decided to give this place a try after we were gifted a gift card. The first issues were the drinks. We both ordered sweet tea first, but was delivered as unsweet. I 'm sorry about that. The second round of tea was maybe sweet tea, but as the server described it to us The kitchen thinks we made a bad batch today... I 'm sorry about that. So we swapped to Coke. Wouldn 't you know it? It 's flat. Sick of drink issues, we just drank our waters. We ordered the fish and chips and the fried shrimp basket. My wife asked to substitute the fries with hush puppies (she wanted to try the honey butter that came with it. About 20-30 minutes later we were delivered 2 fish and chip plates, no butter for either. The waiter comes around. I 'm sorry about that, that 's totally my fault. I 'll order you a shrimp basket. My wife asked for her honey butter that was missing while he was there. He returned with some herb butter and said I 'm sorry about this, but we are actually out of Honey butter, so here is some herb butter instead. This is a really bad experience isn 't it? We agreed. My shrimp plate finally arrived about 15-20 minutes later. The Shrimp was actually decent, but the fries definitely were not great. Cut in different thicknesses, some thin wedges were either over cooked or well cooked. The thick sliced wedges were undercooked. Their only saving grace was the mounds of salt to mask the issue. We won 't get into the sad display of slaw that went along with the plate.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, even if you had a gift card. For the prices they charge on their menu, I would expect a quality meal with quality service. I got neither. Instead, I got a fresh serving of I 'm sorry about that.
