Château d'Adoménil - Athienville

This restaurant is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting, with a nice lake and expansive green fields. The young wait staff is quite amazing, jubilant in their reception … actually at every moment. The various dining rooms are very comfortable with their bright colors...and flashy décor, which might not be everybody´s style but somehow it works; all with a great view of the garden. We chose the tasting menu which is called Impressions. Because of the wonderful manner of the staff we really wanted to enjoy and like what was being brought out to us, apart from a couple amuse-bouche we found most of the dishes confusing in flavor and not to our liking. The dishes were least successful whenever the chef attempts to be bold and creative, making it very hard to understand his vision and flavor palette. Even though the deserts were visually stunning and beautiful to look at, most were too sugary for our taste … though I did love the chocolate desert, not too sweet and rich with dark chocolate. Normally I would give this restaurant an average score, but because of the wonderful and welcoming staff I must give it a very good.

This restaurant is amazing. It is cozy, the service is perfect. The food is outstanding. Try the Chef menu, it's delicious. Great gastronomic experience!

Very impressive restaurant setup, with waiters having more interest in each other then in their guests. This is quite normal in France, so should not affect your experience in any negative way. Good place to sleep half way to the Alps or Côte d'Azur.

Beautiful chateau set in a wonderful location with delightful rooms, incredible service and of course an amazing restaurant.

Superb service. We were greeted as we arrived and taken to our room. No check in. The hotel is in grounds beside a river, with comfortable low chairs set out under the trees a quiet and cool respite after a long drive. A welcome...drink was brought to the room. Later, we had champagne on the terrace followed by an excellent dinner in the la ish dining room. Breakfast was memorable. Served on a terrace overlooking a garden full of lavender it was generous, varied and beautifully served,
