Have not been in over 20 years. prices have sky rocketed! Steak is now USDA. Use to prime aged beef ! Service was very slow do to understaffing. Owner Doug McKendricks .I have know him and his wife Claudia personally for over 15 years. Doug was in the restaurant and we talked before I was seated for lunch. He said he would come and and say hello as he was finishing his lunch when we spoke. When I was finished with lunch I went to look for him. One of his staff said he snuck out and was mad because he did not like his ice cream. Wow! Yes would not return!
I have been to this steakhouse twice. Once for lunch recently and on Thanksgiving day last year. The staff does a great job. Lunch at the bar was a truly exceptional experience. Bar service was spot on. The steaks on both visits were perfect. During the Thanksgiving visit it was very very busy, some of the touch was lost, the staff still did such a great job. WINE LOVERS ENJOY!
Michael, thank you for making my birthday one of the most special ones yet. You paid such attention to us and I really appreciated that. The bbq shrimp are to die for. Drinks were impeccable, and not to mention the steak! I’ll be back for more of the food, drinks, and great service! Wish I could post the video of our dinner. No complaints.
Amazing experience. The owner, staff, servers, everyone was very courteous and amazing. Super tasty steak and salad. Overall great experience.
The first thing we noticed while waiting to be seated was inconsistency in their dress code enforcement. We watched them turn away a couple who also had a reservation due to being dressed too casually; however, throughout the course of our meal we watched them seat people who were far more casual-one in a t-shirt and jeans, the other in a hoodie and jeans. Since they are attempting to be a higher end steakhouse with a dress code they need to better control the noise level. We could not even hear each other talk let alone our server hear us. The overall ambience was lacking. None of the staff wore masks which was highly disappointing. We also watched them carry dishes out by hand instead of on a tray with their thumbs on the plates that the food was on. The biggest issue of the night was regarding an anaphylactic nut allergy and being served bread with nuts in it. We strongly stated to the server first thing that My wife had a severe allergy and he notated it and said he would notify the chef. However, we were still served extremely dangerous food. If We weren’t as investigative and highly critical of food due to her life threatening allergy, we would have spent the night in the hospital. Overall, good food, but everything else was disappointing.
