We sat outside under a heater that had to be set up to keep others warm, but that made it unfortunately hot for us. The waiting staff was very nice.
I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. The interior is very nice, good location, table settings with linen and corresponding cutlery. The first irritation was the noise level. The room (apparently one of several) had five tops and a six top. When all 4 tops were occupied, it was very difficult to talk. The service was incredibly slow. Then the fare: the beets and sweets salad was disappointing, it lacked an unforgettable taste. The crab cake was not presented as on the website (although neither the salad was), and was dry and lack of taste no reference to mayonnaise, Worcestershire, mustard or any spice. Bland. Very. More like just pieces of damp crab pressed together and roasted. The whisky sour was nothing special, just okay. The exception was the Charcuterie Board. It was excellent. Excellent plastered vegetables (Okra, cauliflower), good cheese selection, some prosciutto and salami, and two wonderful spreadables with thin crispy crackers. I can only go back for the Charcuterie Board and maybe try the Caesar salad and the candied bacon. Maybe a better experience.
Enjoyed the entertainer in the attic bar. Overall good food, Caesar salad with Blackened Shrimp, beer and wine. Be sure to meet the bartender, Rick, if you go to tell attentively with great comedic stories.
Very nice on Saturday afternoon. Had to wait for a table although there were several vacant tables when we arrived. Think they were short on the wait staff . Food was good. Our server was very nice and accommodating.
My wife had the eggs Benedict with crab cake and I had the artisan salad with grilled chicken. She actually ordered hers with the Canadian bacon, but they brought out the wrong protein, which was okay (and did charge us for the more expensive crab cake). She said it was delicious. My salad was very good; the grilled chicken was very moist. Definitely get the baked good bread basket as an appetizer. The dessert menu looked great, but we were too full. Good initial hosting by Lee, who is also the owner and proprietor. We had excellent service from Aubrey. Parking in the back can be tricky when they are busy. There are two electric vehicle charging stations. Definitely worth a visit.
