Izakaya - Atlantic City

My girl took me to birthday dinner and let me tell you that it was not disappointed? service is what they would expect from a restaurant of this quality? eating was amazing to say the least and the ambiente is the icing on the cake! this is an experience for which we will definitely be back! 5? experience

Every aspect of our dinner was EXCELLENT from the service to drinks to dessert. Michael was our server and I would request him again 100 . He was friendly, super attentive, and knowledgeable. His drink recommendations were spot on! I had the Lychee martini. It was not too sweet and just perfect. We opted for the tasting menu. Every bite was delicious. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the courses came out too fast. I prefer a slower dining experience but I understand not everyone feels that way. We asked Michael to slow it down and he was more than happy to accommodate our request. I am a really tough critic especially at this price point . With all the dining options in Atlantic City I would consider this a “must do”.

The staffs were attentive,polite and professional. The food was just the right size. Ordered the chef's selection menu. Thank you Izakaya!

Food was delicious and the vibe was great! Didn't realize it was a sharing style, but we were all so hungry that we each ate a shareable plate Loved the dark lighting music.

Amazing ambience to this restaurant first and foremost. Always something new to try off Izakaya's extensive menu. They have Robotaki, entrees, and an array of sushi and small plates you can order. Duck Scrapple Bun Bite size sample of Duck so I said why not and gave it a go. The item is fine but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it in future. Spicy Tuna Cracker very unique, crunchy due to the rice being lightly fried. Okay for the culinary experience but again I would not go out of my way to order. Brussel Sprouts great vegetable side. There is quite a bit of sauce on them just an FYI if your looking for more of a unseasoned vegetable this should not be your choice or ask them to dial down on the sauce if your more into the natural taste of Brussel sprouts. Unagi Oddly enough these look great but perhaps it was a case of not enough eel sauce on them as these were not any better or even as good imo than your neighborhood Sushi order of Eel. Sake I ordered the 16 dollar warm Sake as they were out of all Sake Flights. This one was actually extremely smooth and out of the Sakes I've had it was one of my favorites. I've been here a hand full of times and never mind coming here as you can always try something new. Don't expect the world from them and you should enjoy your meal and your experience as I did : As always people SYOY!!!
