We come to the casinos once or twice a year and try to explore the area when here. As a result, we ended up at the Sri Lanka Restaurant. What a treat! Low key but convenient location. Modest looking inside but, man, the food was excellent. Definite overlap with Indian food but very distinctive flavoring. Everything was nicely cooked, interesting and very tasty. We got the chicken deviled dish, a fish kottu and lamb lumprais. We got the the last two on the owner's recommendation. All very good. We liked the deviled chicken so much that we ordered a second serving. Think the business is only about a half year old. Owner was completely charming, enthusiastic, accessible. These are pretty hard times to be opening a business. Impressively, she did and I'm rooting for her new restaurant. Rooting for her and selfishly I just want the restaurant around for whenever we return. Highly highly recommend
We ordered the kottu (chicken) and Srilankan dosa. Both were amazing dishes, very flavorful. Service was great too. Restaurant seemed very clean and well maintained. Will be going back when we're in this city again.
Came here and ordered the Mango Lassi drink along with Large Sri Lanka chicken. Customer service was pretty slow and needed to be more attentive as the waitresses were on their phone and talking to each other for a while when we were trying to get their attention with only 2 tables occupied. The food was ok, not bad but the portion size was a little small for what we paid. That being said I don't think I will be coming back here. But to be fair, the food was around 3.5-4 star. The business is located in a strip along other commercial businesses. There is street parking out front and as long as it's not busy you should be fine.
I went here twice during our stay in Atlatic City. Everything we tried was delicious. I liked the warm ambiance of the restaurant with traditional decor and Sri Lankan music which could be a good experience for a non-Sri Lankan. I'll definitely visit this restaurant again when I'm in Atlantic City.
