I am giving 1 star because I had a reservation but my plans changed and was not able to make it. I called on the 12th and canceled my stay I spoke with, I think, Jennifer at that time. I was in my car, traveling at the time and not able to write anything down. On the 18th, I get a charge on my card for $50 for deposit anyway. I called, spoke with Laura, she looked it up, couldn't find call on the 12th but said sometimes sometimes #s aren't recorded. She spoke to supervisor who told her to send it to reservation desk to let them decide to take the charge off or not and they would call me. Two days later and no call and charge still not removed. Disappointing customer service and disappointing practice. Not my first and only time. I stay at location once a month due to business travels and it's always the highlight of my trips. Or was, I should say. I will be looking at alternate locations for my future travels to the area. Update I did finally get a refund of my $50. It took 3 weeks and no phone call or anything but it did happen. Subpar system in place for customer service to deal with this type issue. What is a supervisor, if they can't make this decision?
This casino was very nice and I would like to go back and stay a couple of days at the hotel. This place offers a lot more than just gambling. There's several places to eat, anywhere from a fast food place to get a burger, a buffet, BBQ joint up to a Steak House. They have an arcade, bowling alley and movie theater. I can honestly say for someone who who was just passing through, I was very impressed and plan on going back for a mini getaway with my sister.
I booked a comped room for a short getaway for my husband and I, and we were surprised to receive a huge, beautiful corner Suite! We took advantage of a swim in your lovely pool, and then headed down to the bar at FIRE (no reservation needed if you are sitting at the bar) and had a couple of drinks and the delicious appetizer, Fire Stack. The bartender is a very nice man, and good at his job. After that we went out on the Gaming Floor and had fun playing our old favorites and some new games. Always a safe, enjoyable time at Windcreek Atmore.
I wish I could remember the young lady’s name that took these pictures of me and my grandmother. Today was a VERY SPECIAL MOMENT for my grandmother. She was eager to play the slot machines again and to have someone to assist her in winning as she lost her sight six years ago. However, the young lady brought my grandmother a wheelchair and she was friendly and courteous the whole time. She was a brunette and was medium height. She was courteous enough to capture the perfect moments of me and my grandmother. Overall my first time being at Windcreek was amazing, my grandmother and her Senior Group had an amazing time as well. They are repeats, but my grandmother often needs a chaperone, so glad to be in town to assist her. I thought it was just wonderful for your establishment to provide transportation to the Seniors, a respect for their quality of life. Lloyd and the other driver was so helpful in assisting my grandmother on the shuttle and ensured that she was very comfortable. The two ladies and returned us home to Mobile were also very sweet. Thank you Windcreek!Nearby activities: My grandmother and I sat by the pool and listened to the water fountain before it rained. We even took a nap on the couch in the lobby. Sorry about that, but, after eating the Barbecue, collard greens cornbread and baked beans we couldn’t help it.Walkability: Lots of space between machines to push a wheelchair and scooters.Food drinks: The ribs, baked beans, collard greens and cornbread was great. I took chicken wings home, thank you for the courtesy food voucher! Awesome!Noteworthy details: The friendly people in Valet. Providing wheelchairs to your disabled seniors.
