Hanami Sushi - Auburn

So the brothers and I wanted something else on this cold and rainy day in Auburn. We went to downtown for lunch and decided on sushi. I've eaten here a lot, but never wrote a review. First, go to the special soup! Chef cooks it with Enoki mushrooms and it costs a little more, but it is worth it. Next, if you never had sushi, the tekka maki (blue or yellow tuna rolls) are excellent. The combo tempura plate is very tasty and simply cooked enough. Veggie tempura is rough to do because it can be so easily delivered that it can taste like deep friend baby food. Hanami makes the vegetable and shrimp empura perfect. The coolest thing is the special soup!

This is probably the best sushi I've ever had in my life. The OMG roll and Yummy roll are completely piled on with toppings. The Golden Gate is a super good deep fried California roll. Their Lincoln Way is the best baked salmon roll there is. I try a baked salmon roll at every sushi place I go to, and I have never found one better than Hanami.

Service was amazing! Me and my dad got the Dragon roll and the Red dragon roll! food was excellent miso soup like ive never tastes before

Can crab mush, warm raw fish topping on a $19 roll, ahi thick slices like it’s a chicken. Let that go and didn’t say anything. But then… Worst of all, when I let the waitress know the sunonmono (cucumber salad) know that it tasted like fish she shrugged her shoulders and said “I dunno, you want me to grab it out of here”I said “umm it tastes like fish and it’s cucumber”She then again just said “I dunno “Walked away and still charged it on our bill. The lack of social skills and manners in our youth is disturbing!!! Who hired a green haired blank robot to a nice little auburn neighborhood sushi place. She should probably do better in a factory where she doesn’t have human contact or have to use customer service. I’ll be telling everyone I know in my Auburn community to NOT EVER go to this place. ?
