The food, which was served in large bowls and platters for everyone at the table to share was freshly made and sizzling and crispy as described on the menu. Plates and cutlery were quickly removed and replaced, glasses topped up, water and ice kept coming and every little need was swiftly and efficiently attended to.<br/ <br/ I have never had such delicious vegetable spring rolls anywhere. The filling was fresh and crisp and not a drop of oozy oil anywhere. We all shared sizzling beef soft, tender and delicious, cashew chicken the cashews were plump and sweet and the chicken velvety and crispy duck, which everyone declared to be the best they'd ever tasted. I'm not fond of duck and I have to say that I loved it too.<br/ <br/ The best part of the entire day was the fact that my daughters were able to go completely over the top with decorating the table and taking over every nook and cranny for cake, champagne in ice buckets, gifts, wrapping paper and heaven knows what else.<br/ <br/ The new owners, Denike and Steve and their manager Kevin (Qim), are the most delightful and friendly people and they hovered around making sure that everything was perfect, despite the fact that Steve and Denike had been at their own son's wedding until 2 o'clock in the morning congratulations!<br/ <br/ A wonderful experience in a delightful venue and you can be sure that I will be back over and over again to work my way through the rest of the menu. Thank you for my wonderful day.
Been going here for years. Great value and good quality take always. Try the mapo bean curd, prawns with spicy salt and pepper and the sushi is proper
Very small but really clean and had a super meal here. Ate sushi and Chinese and the sushi was exceptional. Really great for a quick meal in the week and will definitely come back
Tucked away in the Post House shopping Centre, Eastern Corner is fast becoming a firm Bryanston hidden gem.<br/ <br/ The Chinese menu is replete with many favorites however there are a few that are must haves. <br/ <br/ The vegetarian spring rolls (R21) nostalgic of what Chinese spring rolls are, deep fried goodness. <br/ <br/ Choosing mains is difficult as the menu is broad with many options tasty as the next. <br/ <br/ The General Tso' Chicken (R49); crispy, sticky chicken that is undeniably finger licking good is worthwhile trying. The Sweet and Sour Pork (R 42) and crunchy Crispy Beef (R 52) are delicious. <br/ <br/ Each of the protein mains comes with rice, replace this with their yumsh egg fried rice. It will only enhance your meal.<br/ <br/ What I like so much is that it's cheap, cheerful and bountiful. Can't ask for more when getting Chinese takeaways on a Sunday evening.
Always an excellent choice. I have ordered sushi from Eastern Corner for several years and have never been disappointed. Generous portions, the salmon is always fresh and delicious, and the price is very competitive. Pick-up is very easy as well, Steve's service on WhatsApp is also a great addition, ensuring accurate ordering and readiness. <br/ <br/ Can't go wrong with the miso soup, rainbow California roll, and salmon sashimi!
