Auberge Claverie - Audaux

This is always the place I go to celebrate an occasion , or just to treat myself . A little dearer than other local restaurants , but well worth it for the food , atmosphere and ambience ; In 7 years I have never had anything but a great meal .

I have lived in this area for over 6 years , this restaurant never fails !! It always delivers a fantastic menu , whether its for the local chaise ( over 40 people) or a romantic meal for 2 . Warm, friendly welcome , great service and even better food . There are a few good restaurants in the area , but none top this one. I was in two minds whether to post a review as it is getting harder to book these days , but in the end I felt more people deserve to enjoy the experience , and I can always visit " out of season" !! A group of us always have lunch here Christmas Eve and it just sets the mood for the festive season . I cannot recommend it high enough and I use to have a restaurant back in the UK!!

It is universally acknowledged as being one of the better eating places in the Béarn region. Excellent food and if you are in the old dining room, you eat in a charming atmosphere. The larger extension is cold, without personality. Very pleasant service, a great place to go for a social occasion or just because good food is guaranteed.

People travel 30 Km's to eat here! It's very good. A lot of duck on the menu. Choose the special at the beginning of the menu. Superb. Lovely atmosphere and is certainly popular with the locals. Book ahead as it gets busy.

This place is tucked away in a very sleepy little village. Had the best lunch ever at a most reasonable cost, unbelievable! In my top 3 in France.
