My Rum Punschdrink was beautiful, the larger size is a need to keep through your meal. Our server Ethan was prompt and friendly. I hope to get back soon.
UPDATE 8-22-22- I was HORRIBLY sick all afternoon and into the evening. My husband was fine, and we both had the chicken. I didn’t eat anything else all day so the only thing it could have been was cross contamination. I’m incredibly sad that one of my favorite places is now off the list because they don’t care like they used to. Original post 8-21-22- This place used to be great. I’d look forward to going because it was one of the few places that seemed to care about gluten free, and would let the cooks know so they’d take special precaution when cooking my meal. This time was completely different. I told my server as I always do about my gluten issues, and she acted like she didn’t hear me. I took care to read all of the labels on the sauces, and selected what was labeled gluten free. When I went to give my food to the cook I once again said I was gluten free.. she looked at me like I had two heads and said “well, if you selected your food you know you chose gluten free stuff “ to which I replied “I know, but you used to cook gluten free stuff separately as to avoid cross contamination.” She replied by motioning over to the grill with wooden separators between the food (that sauces would easily seep under) and said “we cook everything separately”… My only choice was to accept that and go on… as I write this I haven’t yet received my food so I’ll update if I get sick later… I used to come because they actually seemed to care about food allergies, but clearly they don’t anymore. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.
The meat was so tough I found it hard to chew enough to even swallow. Definitely a choking hazard. The employees were nice enough and very friendly but the food quality so poor they could not overcome it. If you decide to try this place I would avoid the red meat altogether as it was plain awful and again I think dangerous..
The customer service was served with a side of attitude. Ignored by the “buffet line” guy who didn’t even make eye contact with me. The meat sitting there in bowls smelt gross. They didn’t tell me what the procedures are, so I had to remake my bowl and get in line behind a big group. When the server came to check on me, I got more attitude. When I tried to explain what happened in the line, they cut me off and interrupted me. The manager explained that they would cook my bowl before the people in the big group and tried to explain what happened by telling me all about how busy and understaff they are. (They we’re not busy at all and had enough staff. I got the beef bowl and it was terrible. The beef was so chewy, I ate around it. To top it off, the manager never came back to help me settle the bill, so I had to do it at the hostess stand and they made me pay for that meal. Horribly disappointing experience. I won’t be back ever.
Nice concept! The small bowl was more than filling. I opted on a shrimp and korean pork combo with sprouts, potato, snow peas, bell pepper, curry and dragon salt, in the island teryaki and Udan noodles..BLISSFULL to say the least! Our server Heather was absolutely amazing. Great service and food, wish there was one here in Atlanta!
