When that was a big reason for us coming that was very upsetting. Also, while eating my step dad found paper or plastic in his food that he was chewing on! The over all food experience was DISAPPOINTING to say the least on MOTHERS DAY not worth the money we spent.
We had another outstanding experience at Edgar's. The Mother's Day brunch was fantastic. There was a tremendous variety of foods, the waitress was spot on in getting us anything that we requested, and the food was excellent. Especially fantastic was the prime rib, the chicken tenders, the scrambled eggs, and the tomato and mozzarella salad. All in all, an excellent Mother's Day brunch!
I was very disappointed in the Mother's Day Brunch this year. First off, let me state that I knew it was a buffet, but how it was presented was not how it was at all. First off, we were not seated at Edgar's Grill, we were seated within the Snelling Center, which gives a different ambiance entirely. I thought we would be inside the restaurant in that style of seating. Instead, we were placed in a larger room inside the Snelling Center at a large table that normally holds 8 people for our small party of 5. We were in that large open room along with other table rounds, which also included a large party of at least 20 people. The seating was very open, and we were placed within the same room where the buffet of desserts were placed, making the setting not very intimate at all. I wish this had been explained on the flyer or on their website. The server seemed overwhelmed and never offered any choice when it came to drinks. They never mentioned any of the specials they had for the “special day.” Also, but the time I made it to some of the food, it was all gone. The food was not worth the price at all. I was expecting as they said, the “award-winning brunch buffet” along with extras. However, I feel like I could have gone to the Golden Corral and received the same for less.
Mother's Day brunch was ok but extremely overpriced at $50 per person. Drinks (sweet Tea) were additional. 18% gratuities were added. If I am walking to a buffet to make my plate do you think it is appropriate to automatically add gratuity? $50 for 1 plate of food was not worth it.The food selection was ok but nothing too exciting. Dessert bar was underwhelming. Our total price with the forced gratuity was $136 Not a great value.
Amazing! What a terrific Mother's Day brunch. The restaurant was lovely, the food was terrific and the staff were very friendly and efficient. They didn't miss a beat! We've been looking for a good brunch since moving here from California and we found it. Not only was it a wonderful brunch, but a buffet as well... all you can eat. Let me just say, desserts so good. I was so full and wished I tried them all, but what I did have, Top Notch! We'll be back. Thank you
